Define the complete measurement chain.
A pressure-monitoring or recording package includes more than a display. Describe the pressure point, transmitter, signal path, acquisition hardware, software and output record. Requirements at each stage affect the suitability of the complete configuration.
Prepare the measurement information.
- Pressure points: number of channels, range for each point and whether channels must be acquired simultaneously.
- Process conditions: medium, temperature, pressure connection and wetted-material requirements.
- Measurement behavior: accuracy, sample/report interval, alarm requirements and required calibration evidence.
- Communication: wired signals or wireless links, distances, obstructions and interfaces to other equipment.
- Records: report fields, export format, retention, timestamps and test/workpiece identification.
- Host equipment: operating system, USB/interface availability, power supply and software restrictions.
For wireless equipment, describe the site.
Radio range is affected by structures, antenna positions, interference and the installation. Provide a layout or a clear description of the intended transmitter and display locations. Battery requirements should be considered together with transmission interval and operating conditions.
For test recording, specify the record.
Send a sample report template if your end user requires a specific layout. Identify the pressure curves, identification fields and data exports needed. Clarify which software version and host-computer environment the supplier will support.
Keep sensing separate from pressure generation.
A recorder acquires measurement data; it does not define the pressure capability of the pump, workpiece or test circuit. Confirm the ranges and limits of the complete equipment assembly through the applicable project review.
